The library holds more than 130,000 volumes of Chinese books in traditional thread-stitched binding, including the valuable Chinese Rare Book Collection. The Collection consists of over 1,500 classical titles in more than 20,000 volumes. The editions range from the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279) to the end of the Qianlong (1795) of the Qing Dynasty.
