Off-campus Internet Connection Services

Access to NTU Library E-Resources

1) Objective To assist faculty, staff and students by making it possible to search NTU Library E-Resources without having to connect to the NTU campus network.
2) For use by NTU Faculty, Staff and Students
3) Service Scope The remote symbol R on searchable database and e-journal pages indicates that these links are accessible from off-campus. These databases and e-journals have been made available through license agreements with the service providers.
4) Instructions Two ways to use this service :
Proxy
  1. Set your browser proxy server to the address:「 lib.cc.ntu.edu.tw」, port:「 3128」.
  2. Click on the database or e-journal you would like to access. Enter your Computer Center e-mail address and password.
  3. You may begin using the database or e-journal once your Computer Center account and password have been verified.

Virtual Private Network (VPN)
  1. Link to the VPN webpage.
  2. Enter your Computer Center account and password and install the ActiveX.
  3. Diagram for how to set VPN.
5) Help

Users can go to https://lib.cc.ntu.edu.tw to check whether they can use off-campus Internet connection services.
