Laptops in the Library and Internet Connections Services

Patrons may use their laptops in the Library. Floors 1-5 of the General Library provide wireless and wired access.

Reading tables to the far left on every floor are off limits to laptop users to guarantee quiet reading space for patrons.. These tables are indicated with the sticker. Please follow this regulation.

Wired Connections:

Please bring your own Ethernet card and connection cable. Ethernet jacks may be found under certain reading tables on floors 1-5. The “Laptop Connection” instructions sticker contains TCP/IP information. NTU faculty, staff, and students may use their ID to borrow connection cables from the Reference Desk on each floor.

Wireless Connections:

Wireless internet access is restricted to NTU faculty, staff, and students. Please bring your own wireless card or you may borrow one from the Computer & InformationNetworkingCenter. The Library does not lend cards.
