ProxyServer Troubleshooting

1. Please use Internet Explorer version 6.0 or above.

2. The proxy server allows you to connect to the Library’s online service system via your ISP. The proxy server for off-campus connections is lib.cc.ntu.edu. The Library must recognize the proxy settings of your ISP for you to use the service system.

3. If you are unable to connect to the Library’s databases or e-journals, you may attempt the following procedures:

1)Check your browser’s proxy server settings.

2)If you are denied direct access to the campus proxy service, check to see whether your ISP is blocking access to off-campus connection services.

3)Check your domain name server, firewall, and router settings.

4)If your ISP employs a firewall, you will be unable to use this service.

4.If verification windows keep popping up, you might have too many browser windows open. Close all browser windows and try again!
