ProxyServer Troubleshooting
- Please use Internet Explorer version 6.0 or above.
- The proxy server allows you to connect to the Library’s online service system via your ISP. The proxy server for off-campus connections is lib.cc.ntu.edu. The Library must recognize the proxy settings of your ISP for you to use the service system.
- If you are unable to connect to the Library’s databases or e-journals, you may attempt the following procedures:
| 1) |
Check your browser’s proxy server settings. |
| 2) |
If you are denied direct access to the campus proxy service, check to see whether your ISP is blocking access to off-campus connection services. |
| 3) |
Check your domain name server, firewall, and router settings. |
| 4) |
If your ISP employs a firewall, you will be unable to use this service. |
- If verification windows keep popping up, you might have too many browser windows open. Close all browser windows and try again!
