Proxy Server Setup Instructions (for IE)

Win XP | Win VISTA

Win XP

From ADSL connection:

1. Open Internet Explorer--> Select “Tools”--> Select “Internet Options”-->

Select “Connections”--> Select “ADSL” and click on “Settings”

2. Check the box: Use a proxy server for this connection

Enter Address—lib.cc.ntu.edu.tw

Port—3128

--> Click on “OK”

From Cable Modem or Local Area Network Connection

1. Open Internet Explorer--> Select “Tools”--> Select “Internet Options”-->

Select “Connections”--> Select “Local Area Network (LAN) Settings”

2. Check the box: Use a proxy server for your LAN

Enter Address—lib.cc.ntu.edu.tw

Port—3128

--> Click on “OK”

Network Authentication:

After selecting the database you wish to use, please enter your email address and password registered at NTU Computer and Information Networking Center and click on “OK”.
