Proxy Server Setup Instructions (for IE)

Win XP | Win VISTA

Win XP

From ADSL connection:

1. Open Internet Explorer--> Select “ Tools ”--> Select “ Internet Options ” --> Select “ Connections ” --> Select “ ADSL ” and click on “ Settings. ”

2. Check the box: Use a proxy server for this connection. Enter Address—lib.cc.ntu.edu.tw, Port—3128. Click on “OK”

From Cable Modem or Local Area Network Connection

1. Open Internet Explorer--> Select “ Tools ” --> Select “ Internet Options ” --> Select “ Connections ” --> Select “ Local Area Network (LAN) Settings”

2. Check the box: Use a proxy server for your LAN. Enter Address—lib.cc.ntu.edu.tw, Port—3128. Click on “ OK ”

Network Authentication:

After selecting the database you wish to use, please enter your email address and password registered at NTU Computer and Information Networking Center and click on “OK”.

Win VISTA
