Japan and Southeast Asia Study Collections
The history of NTU's Japan, Southeast Asia Study Collections date from 1928 when Taihoku Imperial University (the antecedent of NTU)
was founded. The collections contain 21,000 volumes in Japan Study and 6,500 volumes in Southeast Asia Study, all published prior to 1945,
some even date back to the 17th and 18th centuries. Holdings relating to the Japanese modern history, Japanese literary as well as Southeast
Asia history and geography are noteworthy among the collections.
