竹北一保保長發現過路之人暴斃於犁頭水山腳，先請鄉長及仵作至現場驗屍，驗屍報告顯示該人為突發急病而死。因該屍無親人認領；保長稟報新竹縣知縣，故知縣命令將無名屍，備好棺木並加以掩埋。
The local constable of the no. 1 Sub-district of Zhubei found a passer died at the Litoushui Mountain foot. He asked the town-head and a coroner to the scene to perform an autopsy. Their inspection concluded that the man had died from the sudden onset of an illness. As the deceased was not claimed by relatives, the local constable reported to the Hsinchu County Magistrate. The Hsinchu County Magistrate agreed to deem him a John Doe and ordered to prepare a coffin to burry the corpse. This is the chart recorded the findings of the autopsy inspections.
