[Notice] Library Automation System Migration and Adjustments in Related Services (2018 October)

Dear readers :

 

To improve our services, NTU Library will launch a new automation system on October 11th. During the migration period, some services will be temporarily suspended. Thanks for your cooperation.

Description

9/7(Fri)~10/10(Wed)
  • Only the search function is available on the Library catalogue; the reservation service is suspended.
  • The Library stops processing newly acquired materials.
  • The Library stops processing book recommendations and applications for the course reserves service until October 11th. 

10/1(Mon)~10/10(Wed)

Suspension of the Intercampus Loan Service and the Closed Stacks Retrieval Service.

Before 10/7(Sun)

  • Readers should export and save their reading history before Oct 7th. The new system will not retain the above information.
  • Since the reservations not yet ready for pickup cannot be transferred to the new system, readers must make those reservations again after the new system is online 

10/8(Mon)~10/10(Wed)

The following services are suspended during system migration:

  • Borrowing, returning, renewing, picking up reserved books
  • Inter-library loan
  • Self-check machines 
  • Borrowing reference books and long-term borrowing for research projects
  • Creating or changing reader records;  logging into library accounts
  • overdue fine payment, Compensation/ replacement of lost/damaged books

10/11(Thu)

New library system goes live and all library services resume.
