Directives for the Interlibrary Sharing and Exchange Program for Duplicate Journals

Article 1

National Taiwan University (NTU or “the University”) Library ("the Library") formulates the NTU Library Directives for the Interlibrary Sharing and Exchange Program for Duplicate Journals (“the Directives”) to handle duplicates of journals held by the Library and to facilitate interlibrary resource sharing.

Article 2

Recipients of duplicate journals through the interlibrary sharing and exchange program shall be domestic libraries, academic institutions and organizations. (In principle, only public universities located in or north of Hsinchu and newly-established universities are eligible.)

Article 3

The Library shall not provide packaging, mailing, or transporting services for duplicate journals.

Article 4

Recipients of duplicate journals through the interlibrary sharing and exchange program shall comply with the following provisions:

  1. They shall appoint and send an individual to the Library to confirm the number of duplicate journals requested.
  2. They shall affix a seal on the title page indicating that the journal copies were obtained from the Library.
  3. They shall handle all boxing, packaging, and transportation, as well as the associated costs.
