Article 1

National Taiwan University Library (“the Library”) formulates the NTU Directives for Library Discussion Room Reservation (“the Directives”) to provide members of NTU discussion rooms for academic activities.

Article 2

Eligibility:
Members of NTU may reserve the discussion rooms in accordance with the Directives.

Article 3

Discussion room reservation:

  1. Log in to the Library Space Management System to reserve the discussion rooms online.

  2. At least 3 users are required for reserving a discussion room. The maximum number of users for each discussion room is stipulated by the Library Space Management System regulation.

  3. Users can reserve discussion rooms within the next 2 weeks. Each user can reserve a discussion room for up to 6 hours a day and up to 12 hours in 2 weeks.

Article 4

Available Hours of discussion rooms:
Service Hours of discussion room are the same as the opening hours announced by the Library.

Article 5

Rules for discussion rooms:

  1. The number of users shall be in accordance with the Library Space Management System regulation. The Library has the right to terminate the usage of the discussion room if users have violated the regulation, exchanged, or transferred the discussion room with others.

  2. Please present at least 3 valid ID cards within the first 15 minutes of the reservation period. The reservation will be canceled automatically and the reservation rights will be suspended for 1 month if users fail to check in on time.

  3. Users shall cancel the reservation before the scheduled time if unable to arrive on time. The Library has the right to suspend the violators' reservation rights for 1 month.

  4. Non-academic activities are not allowed in the discussion room. Smoking, eating, drinking, talking loudly, or any other inappropriate behaviors are not allowed in the discussion room. The Library has the right to terminate the usage of the discussion room immediately.

  5. Users shall keep the discussion room clean. Users will be liable to pay compensation if the equipment is damaged. Users shall not bring equipment from other spaces into the discussion room without permission.

  6. The Library has the right to suspend the reservation rights for 1 month if users keep occupying the room after the end of the reservation period and refuse to leave after the staff has requested.

  7. Patrons of the National Taiwan University System who have applied for Tri-Library Loan Service have the right to use the discussion room. At least one borrower who is a member of NTU can reserve the discussion rooms.

Article 6

Any other violation shall prevail in accordance with the NTU Library Regulations Governing the Handling of Patron Violations.

Article 7

The Directives shall be passed by the NTU Library Committee Meeting and then implemented on the date of promulgation.
