Handling principles:
- Researchers shall provide the Library with their full personal information (including contact details), based on which the Library may decide whether to assist them in providing the relevant information. The Library may decline to offer assistance to researchers with incomplete personal information.
- Course assignments: The researcher’s name, school, academic program, and year of study; course name; and name of the course instructor.
- Research projects: Name of the applying research assistant, title of the project, and name of the principal investigator.
- Degree theses/dissertations: The researcher’s name, school, and academic program; title of the thesis/dissertation; and name of the advisor.
- Research assistance shall primarily focus on Library affairs. Library staff may decide whether to offer any assistance for research questions involving the personal matters of the staff themselves.
- Questions related to the Library’s personnel and budget will not be answered.
- Statistical data are provided on an as is basis. The Library will not provide data that requires additional compilation.
- Interviews must be scheduled in advance and may be scheduled for 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. or 2 – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- The Library’s website provides information that may be able to answer the applying researcher’s questions. In so, the Library may refer the researcher to the website and decline to offer any interviews or written responses.
- The Library may decline requests due to its operational conditions.

Miscellaneous:
- Researchers shall inform the Readers Services Division in advance if they wish to conduct an interview at the Library where the interviewee is not a librarian or where the subject matter is unrelated to the Library’s affairs.
